Sheriff Farson Resigns; Emmillie Larson Appointed as New Blaine County Sheriff

Blaine County, San Andreas – In a surprise announcement today, Blaine County Sheriff Jack Farson has tendered his resignation, effective immediately. Citing the demands of a new role within the San Andreas Department of Public Safety, Sheriff Farson expressed his deep regret at leaving the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office.

“This decision has not been easy,” Sheriff Farson stated in a press release. “I have the utmost respect for the men and women of this department and the community we serve. However, the challenges of leading the Sheriff’s Office while also taking on new responsibilities within the state have become insurmountable.”

To ensure a smooth transition of leadership, Blaine County Board of Supervisors has appointed Emmillie Larson as the new Sheriff of Blaine County. Sheriff Larson is a seasoned law enforcement veteran with a deep understanding of the community.

“Sheriff Larson brings a wealth of experience and dedication to this role,”. “We are confident in her ability to lead the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office through this period of transition and beyond.”

Sheriff Larson will officially assume her duties on 8/2/2024.

Due to unfortunate events and uncontrollable tough decisions that needed to be made I Sheriff Jack Farson acknowledge and notify the members of the San Andreas Government & the members of the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office that I’ve filed transfer paperwork to the San Andreas Department of Public Safety. This decision has not come lightly but after deep consideration I do not have the time to run the Sheriff’s Office and be the leader it so dearly needs. It will forever be in my heart and i may one day return but for now i will love out my days pushing papers and investigating wrongdoing in the State Police.
